Looking forward to playing the anchor leg of opening night for Social Media Week Toronto.

We have a great venue – Mill Street Brewery

We have a great event – Social Media Week

We have a great concept – Brief intro, followed by an interactive debate among the 6 tribes of social media and then a You-hosted Soapbox

Love for you to be part if it. Here’s the description and how to register:

Wikibrands – Where Business and Brands meets Digital and Social

Monday, February 7th, 2011, 7pm and onward

A brief presentation by the authors on the journey of Wikibrands – a manifesto and practical guide for how business delivers reinvention and business value in a connected age. They’ll include their key findings from studying the top 100 engaged companies, their key thesis for being successful in the current marketplace and the top ten elements for building and maintaining a Wikibrand.

Post presentation – the book will be supported by a panel of the united nations of social media – The Business Tribe, The Media Tribe, The Communications Tribe, The Marketing Tribe, The Digital Tribe and The Social Tribe.   Look forward to the debate, discussion and détente in this exchange.

Finally, to end the night, we’ll have an end of the night Soapbox session, where you the crowd get to pitch your best 30 second wikibrand/social media idea for fame (perhaps infamy) and prizes. Along the way have the brewmasters of Mill Street providing their favourite ales, stouts and lager.
