Collaboration Partner Expert – Don Tapscott:
Don Tapscott is a key mentor to Wikibrands and one of the world’s leading authorities on innovation, media, and the economic and social impact of technology and advises business and government leaders around the world. In 2011, Don was named one of the world’s most influential management thinkers by Thinkers50. He has authored or co-authored 14 widely read books including his 1995 hit The Digital Economy changed thinking around the world about the transformational nature of the Internet and two years later he defined the Net Generation and the “digital divide” in Growing Up Digital. His 2000 work, Digital Capital, introduced seminal ideas like “the business web” and was described by BusinessWeek as “pure enlightenment.” Wikinomics: How Mass Collaboration Changes Everything was the best selling management book in 2007 and translated into over 25 languages and was followed up by his next work Macrowikinomics. His work continues as a the Chairman of Moxie Insight, a member of World Economic Forum, Adjunct Professor of Management for the Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto and Martin Prosperity Institute Fellow.
Innovation Partner Expert – Andrea Kates:
Andrea Kates is a joint partner on our CoLab program “WikiNext – Reinventing Business at the Blurring Speed of Change” . She is the founder of the Business Genome® project and author of the bestselling business innovation book, Find Your Next: Using the Business Genome Approach to Find Your Company’s Next Competitive Edge. As a business strategist, facilitator, and speaker, Andrea has led more than 250 strategic business initiatives for global corporations, entrepreneurs, and organizations. Culture Partner Expert – Grant McCracken:
Grant McCracken is a fellow Canadian and associate of Wikibrands. Trained as an anthropologist, Grant has studied American culture and business for 25 years.He has been featured on the Oprah Winfrey Show and worked for many leading organizations. He started the Institute of Contemporary Culture at the Royal Ontario Museum, where he did the first museum exhibit on youth cultures.
He has taught at the University of Cambridge, MIT, and the Harvard Business School and is a long time student of culture and commerce. He has explored culture and commerce in two books: Culture and Consumption I, and Culture and Consumption II. He has also looked at how Americans invent and reinvent themselves with Big Hair and Transformations: identity construction in a contemporary culture. He has more recently published Chief Culture Officer and Culturematic with the Harvard Business Review Press.
Customer Experience Partner Expert – Joe Pine:
Joe Pine shares the Wikibrand experiential view of the world. While at IBM, he brought business partners and customers into the development process of a new computer. Taking from this the lesson that every customer is unique, he wrote a book called Mass Customization on businesses that serve customers’ unique needs. Later he discovered what he would coin the “Experience Economy” – consumers buying experiences rather than goods or commodities — and wrote a book of the same name.He has since turned his focus to Authenticity, which he argues is the main criterion people use when deciding what to buy. (TIME‘s “10 Ideas That Are Changing the World,”) His company, Strategic Horizons, specializes in helping others see business differently.
